Our Purpose
The ASANTEMAN ASSOCIATION OF MINNESOTA is a nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Minnesota.The association organized exclusively for charitable, educational and literary purposes.The purpose of this association is to operate within the framework of the Asante tradition and cultures:
- To foster unity among all members and their affiliates,and provide resources for cooperation on matters of mutual interest;
- To preserve the Asante culture , tradition, values and norms, and to support members in the events of their joys, concerns and hardships, including births, sickness, death, marriages and graduations;
- To educate members and their affiliates on the Asante cultural and traditional systems, values and norms; and
- To promote the Asante spirit of successful business entrepreneurship and accomplishment.

Eligibility for Membership
Application for membership is open to all Minnesota resident [21 years and older] who are Asante natives and their spouses, descendants of Asante natives and others who are willing to abide by the constitution or make significant contributions to the association. Membership is granted after completion and receipt of a membership application, one-time enrollment fee [$50], monthly dues [$10] and annual contribution [$20] into the special fund.
Asanti Cultural Preservation Program
- Educate members and their children on the Asante cultural and traditional systems, values and norms.
- Establish a cultural drumming, singing and dancing group for the entertainment of members at gatherings.
Member Support
Members and their immediate family members shall be supported by the Association in the events of their joys, concerns and hardship situations, including but not limited to Deaths, Births, Marriages, Sickness, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Graduations, Promotions, Loss of Jobs, Buying Cars, Buying Houses, and Relocations.
Integrated Traditional Support Program
- Foster unity among all members and provide resources of mutual interests.
- Support members in the events of their joys, concerns and hardship situations, including but not limited to Deaths, Births, Marriages, Sickness, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Graduations, Promotions, Loss of Jobs, Buying Cars, Buying Houses, and Relocation.
